ABOUT THE RESIDENCY
A space to reflect, experiment and create.
Founded in 2017 by the Deighton Family Foundation, The Vannucci Artist Residency (VAR) is a not-for-profit programme that supports artists and curators at key stages in their careers.
Anchored by an artist residency located in Umbria, the programme is a bespoke experience designed around the objectives and character of each resident. Once invited, the prospective resident works jointly with the Foundation team to create the most rewarding and productive experience.
Surrounded by the beauty of the natural world and the distinctive light of the region, as well as centuries of art history and local artistic traditions, the residency offers participants the opportunity to have dedicated space and time to further develop their artistic practice, incubate new ideas, and expand their work through experimentation and encounter.
